Will Somebody Please Arrest Donald Trump?
Left free, former president will continue to incite violence
I tried to avoid watching former President Donald Trump’s latest cult fest over the weekend. But that is an exercise in futility; avoiding Trump is like ignoring malignant cancer. Just because you pretend it’s not there, it doesn’t mean the problem will go away.
It’s important to pay attention to what the former guy says because he still poses a security threat to the United States. And this was evident at his Texas rally. During the rally, he encouraged his cultists to “protest” any prosecutor who tries to bring him to justice.
And in the great tradition of Republicans misusing words, he called prosecutors who were investigating him “racist.” Trump assumes that because some of them are African-American and he’s of European descent, they must be racist.
Fulton County, Ga. District Attorney Fanny Willis responded to Trump’s comments by asking the FBI for increased security.
