I’ve written so many articles about FOX News pundit Tucker Carlson, I’m sick of doing it. I’ve written about his white supremacy, his use of propaganda and conspiracy theories, and his support of the worst president in American history.
Carlson is both a high-profile media figure and also one of the worst people in the business. If he worked at a real media outlet, he’d have been fired long ago. But he works at FOX News Channel (FNC,) where propaganda and white nationalism is the name of the game. And FNC’s owners will never fire him.
Fox News Staffers Laugh at Calls for Tucker Carlson to Be Fired: Don't Hold Your Breath!
It's a scenario that has become all too familiar for media watchers: Fox News star Tucker Carlson is once again under…
“‘He’s untouchable. He knows it, his staff knows it, everyone knows it,’ one Fox News insider said of Carlson’s standing with Fox management,” said The Daily Beast. “‘The Murdochs love him,’ one former Fox News personality said. ‘Like them, he is a rich, prep school kid born with a silver spoon who traffics in populism while living in an expensive ivory tower and never meeting in real life the people he gins up for ratings.’”
Carlson made several creepy comments about underage women during an interview with shock jock “Bubba the Love Sponge.” During the interview, he called Iraqis “primitive monkeys,” and downplayed the charges against Warren Jeffs, a cult leader who married off 14-year-old girls to men twice their age.
In addition, Carlson is essentially boycott-proof. Most major advertisers have fled his show because they don’t want to be associated with promoting white supremacist conspiracy theories such as “the Great Replacement.” But Media Matters revealed a little-known provision that allows FOX News to keep the money rolling in.
FNC has a deal with the cable companies that guarantees them a portion of cable fees. So they’re getting paid, even if you don’t watch them. If you have cable TV, about $20 of your monthly bill goes to FOX News.
“These contracts make up about 65% of Fox News’ subscriber fee revenue. If we want to stop paying the Fox News ‘tax,’ now is the time to act,” according to Unfox My Cable Box.
The Murdochs tolerate Tucker Carlson even though he’s damaging the country by spreading vaccine misinformation. They don’t care about the harm he’s doing to the nation or journalism in general as long he’s putting money in their pockets.

Top earners get away with anything at FOX
Carlson has replaced Bill O’Reilly as Fox News’ top boy. O’Reilly was also an extremely problematic figure. But the Murdochs stuck with him through multiple sexual harassment suits, racism accusations and when court transcripts stated he choked his then-wife and dragged her down the stairs by her hair.
The first sex scandal that broke the lid on O’Reilly’s predatory behavior was the case involving Andrea Makris. That was in 2004. Several more sexual harassment lawsuits finally ended in “the Great FOX News Sex Scandal of 2016.” According to VICE, O’Reilly shelled out $13 million over the years to keep women quiet.

The 2016 scandal also took down CEO Roger Ailes, the man who built FNC into the propaganda monster it is today. Ailes also had a long history of racism, sexism and sexual exploitation. But just like O’Reilly and Carlson, the Murdochs looked the other way. Under Ailes, FNC was pulling in close to $1 billion per year.
However, a sex scandal might be the key to ridding the country of the Tucker Carlson menace. Florida Rep Matt Gaetz shocked Carlson when he brought up a dinner that they attended in a recent appearance on his show. Carlson was annoyed with Gaetz for two reasons. Not only did he drag him into sex trafficking charges, but allegedly, he wasn’t with his wife at the dinner.
Also, Carlson made several creepy comments about underage women during an interview with shock jock “Bubba the Love Sponge.” During the interview, he called Iraqis “primitive monkeys,” and downplayed the charges against Warren Jeffs, a cult leader who married off 14-year-old girls to men twice their age.
In unearthed audio, Tucker Carlson makes numerous misogynistic and perverted comments
Between 2006 and 2011, Tucker Carlson spent approximately an hour a week calling in to Bubba the Love Sponge, a popular…
“I am not defending underage marriage at all. I just don’t think it’s the same thing exactly as pulling a child from a bus stop and sexually assaulting that child,” said Carlson.
Gaetz has been accused of paying underage women for sex. Maybe Carlson and Gaetz share more in common than obnoxious behavior and far-right politics? The Murdochs might tolerate Carlson’s vaccine denial and neo-Nazi idealogy, but statutory rape might be a bridge too far.
