Former President Donald Trump recently confirmed the adage a broken clock is right once a day. During one of his increasingly delusional rallies, he explained how disinformation and propaganda work.

“If you say it enough and keep saying it, they’ll start to believe you,’ said Trump during a Florida rally.

He was talking about how the media smears conservative politicians, but he was actually describing his own behavior. Trump is a pathological liar. During his time in the White House, he told more than 30,000 documented lies. Yet, his supporters believed most of them.

They said they voted for him because he was honest, and not like other politicians. They said he was a successful businessman, was a good Christian, and even called him the best president they’d ever seen. Those statements are laughable. But more disturbingly, they believed his big lie about election fraud which led to the attack on the Capitol on Jan. 6.
