There Aren’t Always Two Sides to The Story

Don’t listen to both sides when one rejects science, facts

One of my friends is a political junkie, just like me. A few years ago, she was dating a guy who said the magical phrase that automatically stopped any future romantic chances. He said, “both parties are the same.” She knew then that she could no longer see him anymore.

Like me, my friend believes that anyone who says both sides of the same is simply making up an excuse for refusing to study the political system and learn the differences between the two parties.

According to former Republican Washington Post columnist Max Boot, the extremes of both parties are an example of how one side has gone off the edge. He contrasted New York Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez, a Democratic socialist, with Rep. Marjorie Taylor-Greene (R-Georgia.) Greene represents the furthest of extremes of the GOP. She’s conspiratorial, anti-Semitic, racist and xenophobic. She also gets into screaming matches with her colleagues. Meanwhile, AOC wants to raise taxes…
