America might brand itself as a Christian country, but the nation’s real religion is mammonism or the worship of money. America even created the spiritual abomination called the prosperity gospel which is the mutant offspring of capitalism and Christianity. The prosperity gospel managed to turn Christianity, a religion based on the teachings of a street preacher born in a barn, into a faith that okays ministers owning Bentleys and private jets.
However, America doesn’t just worship money, it also worships those who create wealth. But it’s gotten to the point that these wealth creators see themselves as superior to us common, working-class folk. They’re branded as metahumans who have supernatural powers.
But there’s always an element of luck in making money. Entrepreneurs are gamblers and any gambler knows that if you spin the wheel enough times, eventually you’re going to win big.
