The problem with the American political system is that it’s bi-partisan. You have two parties, one is center-right, the other is far right. When working class people get mad at the Democrats, they vote for the far-right party (the Republicans.) And they get none of their goals achieved. Working class people voting for the GOP is the definition of shooting yourself in the foot. For eg., all those blue-collar people who voted for Trump didn’t get better wages or healthcare.
