I’ve always said that hard-core Republicans would vote for Satan over a Democrat; the Trump years proved me correct. But recent events show that attitude hasn’t changed.

Former New Jersey governor and Trump consigliere Chris Christie have recently been promoting his new book “Republican Rescue.” His mission is twofold. He’s trying to convince Americans to forget he helped create the Trump monster and present himself as a viable alternative to the former president in 2024.

So far, I’ve sat through Christie interviews on “The Daily Show,” “Morning Joe,” on CNN, and Nicolle Wallace’s “Deadline: White House.”
