Putin’s Disastrous Ukraine Campaign Is Sign of a Leader in Decline

Russian leader’s actions are strangely incompetent

Nothing about Russia’s disastrous military adventure in Ukraine makes sense. It must go down as one of the worst planned military operations in history.

It’s a comedy of errors. Russian tanks are breaking down, Russian soldiers weren’t told about their real mission and some soldiers punctured their own gas tanks, making their vehicles inoperable. There were also reports of Russian soldiers getting lost because the Ukrainians took down road signs.

Another example of the poor communication between Russian soldiers and the Kremlin is the fact they were sold a lie. Russian soldiers were told they were going on maneuvers. Bu the Kremlin stated they were going to “de-Nazify” the country. However, Volodymyr Zelensky, president of Ukraine, is Jewish.

But there are several other points that show Russia isn’t handling this operation well
