So it’s come to this. President Donald Trump has finally got to the brink of unleashing the American military against the public. If you’ve been reading my writing here and on social media, I predicted it would come to this point. Although, I hoped there would be an intervention before then.
But it seems the Trump administration has proved to be a catastrophic failure of all three arms of the American government, the legislature, the executive and the judiciary. The press, which has been called the fourth arm of government, also failed miserably.
I knew Trump was going to be a disaster as president. That’s why I had a sinking feeling in the pit of my stomach when he got elected. If you study history and political science, it wasn’t difficult to see that Trump was going down the fascist route. And that usually ends with the leader seizing power and turning the weapons of the state against his own people.
