If You’re Just Bailing On FOX News, It’s Already Too Late
Two right-wing pundits leave FNC because of ‘Patriot Purge’
According to several news reports, there is tension at Fox News Channel (FNC) over neofascist Tucker Carlson’s pseudo-documentary “Patriot Purge.” FNC commentator Jonah Goldberg and his business partner Stephen Hayes have stepped down over “Patriot Purge,” which they deem a bridge too far.
But it’s not just them. FNC staffers Brett Baeir and Chris Wallace have both complained to management about “Patriot Purge.”
Goldberg also voiced his complaints in his syndicated column.
“The sudden part came thanks to Fox host Tucker Carlson’s streaming special ‘Patriot Purge.” It’s a perfect example of propaganda that weaves half-truths into a whole lie. It insinuates that the Jan. 6 riot at the Capitol might have been a ‘false flag operation,’ orchestrated by the FBI or the Deep State…,” said Goldberg. “This dangerous nonsense was the last straw for me (and Steve). It was an unhappy decision for us. We have many friends at the network, and there are many people, particularly on the news side, that do good, honest journalism.”
