Trump, far-right are anti-American
Former President Donald Trump is an awful and troubled individual. The past eight years have confirmed that. So, it’s not surprising that he’s leading a charge against the U.S. women’s soccer team recently eliminated from the World Cup.
“Many of our players were openly hostile to America — No other country behaved in such a manner, or even close. WOKE EQUALS FAILURE. Nice shot Megan, the USA is going to Hell!!! MAGA,” said Trump in a social media post more becoming of a teenager than a former president.
We live in such bizarre times with right-wingers often reveling in the failure of America at national sporting events. Right-wingers also cheered when the United States didn’t get the Olympics under President Barack Obama’s administration. And the unlamented dead racist Rush Limbaugh once said he hoped Obama’s presidency failed. But Limbaugh also said smoking was harmless and died of cancer, so we know he wasn’t the sharpest tool.
