Cult 45 has killed and will do so again
A few days ago, I had a conversation with my London-based sister about the three countries we are associated with; that is Britain, Nigeria and the United States of America. We agreed that the political situation was screwed up in all three countries, and it was difficult to tell which was worse.
In Nigeria, the country just elected Bola Tinubu, a long-time political insider who was accused of being involved with drug crimes by the United States. Tinubu has a reputation for corruption, but then again, what Nigerian politician doesn’t? He promoted himself by saying, “it was his turn.” Only about 30% of the population voted, which shows you how disillusioned Nigerians have become with politics.
In Britain, the country has had about four prime ministers in the last six months. Liz Truss lasted as prime minister for less than a month. Let’s see how long the current Prime Minister Rishi Sunak lasts. Also, the country is recovering from Brexit, which was one of the most famous self-inflicted wounds. Brexit got the United Kingdom out of the European Union (EU,) but now the public is missing all of those EU benefits. Doh!
