Expect More Far-Right Terrorism

More bloodshed might force America to take domestic terrorism seriously

I have this gut feeling that something terrible is coming. America still hasn’t learned its lesson about white nationalist violence. Even after the Jan. 6 insurrection, where we watched security officials battling for their lives against armed Trump supporters, it seems some on the right refuse to see the threat for what it is.

Even though the attack took place less than two months ago, it’s already fading into memory. Look at comments from Fox News’ Tucker Carlson. He had the audacity to say that Trump supporters at the Capitol were mostly peaceful. Last week, he again downplayed the threat of the QAnon cult. He previously claimed he couldn’t find their website.

“They’re not torching Wendy’s, they’re not looting retail stores, they’re not shooting cops. No, that’s not them,” said Carlson.

It’s no wonder lawyers representing his employer said his words shouldn’t be taken…
