Don’t Worry Republicans, Michelle Obama Will Never Be President

Right-wingers still fear-mongering over another Black president

As a political writer, I spend a lot of time trying to understand the other side. I’ve read books by former GOP representatives Liz Cheney and Denver Riggleman. Cheney and Riggleman are two of the more rational people on the right, and that makes them exiles. Increasingly, the right has tumbled into a pit of extremism and conspiracy theories.

And Republicans love their conspiracy theories. I tried to keep track of them, but there are so many it’s impossible. And they are getting increasingly unhinged.

The Conspiratorial Right

A recent expose by Media Matters, showed many people on the right believe Democrats have a secret plot to oust President Joe Biden and replace him with, drum roll, Michelle Obama!

Now, any rational observer of the American political scene knows this is a ridiculous idea. If you know anything about Michelle Obama, you’ll understand that she hates the world of cut-throat politics. And she has explicitly stated this in interviews.
