Did the Supreme Court Just Legalize Corruption?
Overlooking Trump corruption is another sign of Third World America
If having the president launch a violent insurrection to try and stay in power wasn’t a sign of America sliding into Third World status, a recent Supreme Court decision also sends a disturbing sign. Corruption and political violence are symptoms of a Third World country. And the former president begins his second impeachment for leading a violent insurrection against the legislature on Tuesday.
Also, last month, the Supreme Court voted to end emoluments lawsuits that accused President Donald Trump of profiting off his White House stay.
“The court instructed the lower courts to wipe away previous lower court opinions that went against Trump because he is no longer in office,” said CNN.
Pay-to-play
Trump made money from the government in a number of ways. For example, he “encouraged” people to stay at his hotels. Staying at Trump hotels became a great way to get into the president’s good graces. It was strictly a quid pro quo; if you were nice to Trump, he’d be nice to you. The Saudis quickly realized this and started funneling money to Trump’s businesses.
