If you’re not a vegetarian, now might be a good time to become one. According to news reports, the coronavirus is having a devastating effect on the meat industry. It’s gotten so bad, there has been talk of possible meat shortages. (However, since we’re in the greatest crisis since World War II, this shouldn’t be surprising.)

Unfortunately, a closer look at the “Meatocaplypse,” exposes every wrong with this country’s business and political culture.

Firstly, there is a major crisis in the way the meat industry is handling the coronavirus. Workers at these plants operate shoulder-to-shoulder and also lunch in crowded conditions. It’s a perfect environment for the virus to spread.

Having said that, you would have thought that meat plant executives would take extra precautions to avoid spreading the virus. But they did the opposite, mask rules were laxly applied, employees still worked in…
