Could Andrew Yang Be Yet Another Useful Idiot?

I always thought there was not something quite right about Andrew Yang. The tech CEO burst onto the political scene in 2020 when he somehow appeared in the Democratic primary.

I like the ideas that he talked about, such as the danger of technology destroying jobs and his concept about Universal Basic Income was interesting. Of course, I doubt that would ever fly at the national level in America because it’s too socialistic. This alone shows I know more about politics than Yang does.

But there was always something troubling about Yang’s political campaign. Firstly, he seemed too much like these other millionaires who think they can run the whole country because they managed to steer a business. As someone who’s worked in Corporate America and alongside CEO types, it’s clear from studying their personalities that they would not fare well in politics. Politics and the business world are two separate disciplines. The skills that make you a success in Corporate America don’t often translate to the political world.
