Conservatives Reward Far-Right Orban With CPAC Conference
Right-wingers laud authoritarian Hungary leader
You only used to have to worry about the American Conservative Union’s Conservative Political Action Conference (CPAC) once a year. But now CPAC has gone global. A recent CPAC event was held in Brazil, and another one is scheduled for Hungary in 2022.
These two developments show that the conservative/neofascist movement is becoming global. This was unsurprising because I read about this in Malcolm Nance’s “The Plot To Destroy Democracy.” He talked about an international fascist movement that included Britain, France, Hungary, Russia, Greece and Brazil. And now we are seeing that happen right in front of us.
It is interesting that CPAC was held in Brazil because President Jair Bolsonaro is known as “the Trump of the tropics.” Just like former President Donald Trump, Bolsonaro styled himself as a populist leader. But Bolsonaro’s administration has not been successful.
