Boehner’s Trump 2020 Vote Shows He’s Part of Cult 45

Republicans would rather vote for a GOP criminal than a Democratic moderate

A few days ago, I penned a column that said former Speaker of the House John Boehner was one of those reasonable Country Club Republicans that you could work with. Turns out I talked too soon.

Boehner is just as corrupt and unhinged as the rest of the Trump-Republican party. I say that because I recently learned that Boehner voted for Trump in 2020.

“I voted for Donald Trump,” said Boehner in a Time interview. “I thought that his policies, by and large, mirrored the policies that I believed in. I thought the choices for the Supreme Court were top notch. At the end of the day, who gets nominated to the federal courts is really the most important thing a president does.”

Trump was awful; let’s give him another chance

In a CNN interview, Boehner refused to say he wouldn’t vote for Trump in 2024. Sometimes I wonder if Republicans listen to…
