Republican Propaganda Campaign Wants Leftists to Cut Their Own Throats
I’ve learned a lot about Russian propaganda and information warfare tactics from reading former NSA officer Malcolm Nance’s books. His books were eerily prescient, he warned of a Russian influence operation as far back as early 2016 and he’s been proven right.
One of the things he talks about is how Russians use people to work against their own interests. (They’re the useful idiots.) I often like to say, “The Russians want us to cut our own throats and drown in our blood.” The Russian Facebook campaign stirred up both far-left and far-right activist groups in 2016. And they’re still doing it, American Rinaldo Nazzaro, a militant white nationalist tied to a domestic terrorist group, is currently living in Russia.
