Barr: Trump’s Selfish, Out-Of-Control, Unfit. I’d Vote for Him Again

Former attorney general’s press tour won’t rehabilitate his image

I’m normally a voracious reader of political books. However, I won’t be reading former Attorney General Bill Barr’s new book, “One Damn Thing After Another.” Barr served as the nation’s top law enforcement officer for a few years in the massively corrupt and incompetent Trump administration.

However, it seemed that Barr’s real job was to protect the president from prosecution. And he started this with his first act as attorney general when he wrote what I called the “Barr summary” which essentially exonerated Trump from the Mueller probe. Special counsel Robert Muller later said Barr had “inadequately portrayed their conclusions.”

However, Barr began his term as attorney general by performing a legal sleight of hand. In his summary of the dense and difficult-to-read Muller report, he exonerated Trump. However, if you take the time to wade through the Mueller report, which I did, it doesn’t clear Trump. In fact, Mueller found plenty of illegal activity in the Trump 2016 campaign. He referred the report to Congress and recommended they take further action.
