AT&T’s Creation of OAN is Corporate Irresponsibility

By funding far-right network, AT&T is subsidizing violence, conspiracy theories

I’ve often called FOX News the worst network in history, but One American News (OAN) is like the mutant offspring of Fox News. If FOX News is Frankenstein’s monster, OAN is Frankenstein’s monster on steroids. OAN is known to be conspiratorial, truth adverse and highly biased. For example, when their favored candidate Larry Elder, a right-wing conman, lost the California recall election, they refused to report it.

Additionally, Rudy Giuliani recently revealed Christina Bobb, an OAN host, also worked for the Trump campaign while still employed at the network. This type of ethical violation would be an automatic termination at a real network!

It’s bad enough that OAN exists, but a recent in-depth report by Reuters showed that media giant AT&T played a significant role in its creation. According to Reuters, AT&T executives wanted another profitable, conservative outlet.
