In one final insult to round out the almost total failure of the MAGA Mutant army, journalist-turned-conspiracy theorist Kari Lake lost the Arizona gubernatorial race to Democrat Katie Hobbs. The race was called on Monday night. I’m sure cheers reverberated around the United States at the idea that Lake, who promised to reject the results of the 2024 elections if a Democrat won, wouldn’t be in a statewide position.

Of all the MAGA mutants (Trump-backed candidates who copied his penchant for conspiracy theories, lying and demonizing enemies,) Lake was one of the worst. She used to be a Phoenix-area anchor, but somewhere along the lines, she went off the reservation. I first learned of her when she produced a campaign video that displayed her taking a sledgehammer to a bunch of TVs, indicating her loathing for the “fake news media.”

I have no idea what happened to Lake. She worked in local television for about 20 years, but claimed she was turned off when her station said she wasn’t allowed to do certain stories around Covid. She also voted for President Barack Obama and her political affiliation changed from Democrat to Independent to Republican. Now, it’s MAGA, which means a full embrace of Trump and his BS. Lying…
