Media expert confirms worst suspicions about GOP

“Moscow” Mitch McConnell congratulated President-elect Joe Biden after Russian leader Vladimir Putin (Gage Skidmore/Wikipedia)

Last week, Senate leader Mitch McConnell finally admitted that Joe Biden won the election. It took him almost four weeks to do this. But “Moscow Mitch” only made that statement after Russian leader Vladimir Putin acknowledged Biden’s win. I said half-joking, after all, Putin is the de-facto head of the Republican Party. McConnell had to wait until the boss made the first move.

Jim Jones Killed 900 People; Trump Has Killed 300K So Far

When former presidential candidate Herman Cain became infected with the coronavirus earlier this year, I began to see the similarities between the Trump cult and the Peoples Temple in Jonestown, Guyana, which caused the death of about 900 people in 1978.

Trump gave Putin exactly what he wanted

Vladimir Putin is warmly welcomed to Japan by President Donald Trump (Shealah Craighead/White House)

The disastrous Trump presidency is coming to an end as chaotic and dysfunctional as the rest of his term. Several government agencies were hit with a widespread cyberattack believed to have been generated from Russia. (The president has said nothing.) And CNN reported that Trump briefly floated the idea of refusing to leave the White House. His staff shot down that scheme. However, it would have been entertaining to watch the former reality TV star frog-marched out of the White House. But Trump will probably leave for Florida over the holiday break and never return to the president’s residence.

But…

‘Sane’ Republicans sound just as unhinged as Trump cultists

Self-declared “alternate” electors are blocked from entering the Michigan Capitol and awarding electoral college votes to President Donald Trump. He lost Michigan. (Manny Otiko/YouTube screencap)

Do you ever read a piece of writing so awful it stops you in your tracks? I did this a few days ago. It was an article by syndicated columnist Mike Kelly. The column titled, “It’s time for Republicans to take back their party from the crazies,” was supposed to be a plea to Republicans to walk back from the edge and start listening to the sane voices in the party, not the Trump cultists.

I read it because I’ve been preaching a similar message. Unfortunately, as I got further into the column, I found some glaring errors. These are…

MAGA cultists’ violent protests will end badly

In his book, “The Threat,” former FBI Director Andrew McCabe says that people who work in counterintelligence are always on edge. They know they always have to be right, and if they slip up once, people die. All it takes is for one error, one oversight and you have a 9/11 on your hands. And that’s what I think about when I look at ex-President Donald Trump’s attempts to incite violence against his enemies.

An army of violent cultists

GOPers still trying to gaslight Americans

It seems that dishonesty is a central part of the modern-day Republican Party. Former President Donald Trump was a prolific liar, he told 30,000 of them while in office, but he wasn’t that unusual from most Republican politicians. He was just very crude about how he went about his business. Republican legislators are currently trying to convince us the Capitol invaders, who beat a police officer to death and gouged another in the eye, were “peaceful tourists!”

The central message of the conservative movement doesn’t benefit the majority of Americans. Tax cuts for the rich and slashing social services don’t…

African-American testing still lags behind state average

Manny Otiko | California Black Media

Covid-19 cases are plunging as California prepares to slowly reopen this week.

However, returning workers will face a different environment. Some workplaces such as restaurants and amusement parks will require proof of testing and vaccination. Testing — or some other proof of vaccine status — are already required to enter health facilities or to fly.

According to Disney Parks’ blog, the organization recommends attendees be vaccinated or provide a negative test if they want to visit the park. Guests are also required to wear face masks.

GOPers love Russia’s racial purity, anti-democratic system

President Joe Biden and Russian leader Vladimir Putin (Kremlin.ru/Wikipedia)

I thought that Russian President Vladimir Putin’s unnatural holdover America would end when his puppet, Donald Trump, left office. I was wrong. Putin still holds sway in America because he seems to be running the Republican Party. I’ve talked about this before in previous articles, but this issue became prominent again during the recent bilateral talks.

Even before the talks, it was shocking to see Russian state media defending the Capitol insurrectionists. Russian media recently featured Richard Barnett, the Capitol attacker who put his feet up on Speaker Nancy Pelosi’s desk. They also described him as an “American patriot’ who…

When it comes to the former president, it always gets worse

Former Sen. Jeff Sessions was Trump’s first attorney general. He promised to stop leaks. (Gage Skidmore/Wikipedia)

The national media is up in arms at the latest revelation from the Trump White House. Even though the ex-president is no longer in office, he’s still able to generate weekly scandals. Of course, this is not surprising; you knew the Trump White House was riddled with corruption and abuse of power. Trump is a decades-old criminal who broke laws at will. Did people expect him to change a lifetime of behavior when he became Commander-in-Chief?

Former Yale psychiatrist Dr. Bandy Lee once compared Trump to a mentally disturbed man with an arsenal of weapons. It was just a matter…

Former VP will always be associated with the worst administration in history

Former President Donald Trump and former Vice President Mike Pence (Gage Skidmore/Flickr)

Someone needs to tell Mike Pence that his political career is over. He seems to be under the illusion that he has a chance of becoming president one day. He’s still devoted to ex-President Donald Trump, even after a gang of fanatical Cult 45 members tried to kill him during the Capitol insurrection.

During a recent speech, he said, I’ll “always be proud of what we accomplished for the American people over the last four years.”

Pence views himself as the candidate of the Bible-thumping, Evangelical community.

Unfortunately, there are several problems with this line of thinking. For starters, Evangelicals…
